Sustainable horticulture in the Rift Valley

Agribusiness refers to the art of practicing agriculture, most often large scale farming, with the commercial purpose as the primary goal. It usually involves the use of advanced technologies in the farming process to increase the level of efficiency, output thus increasing the value derived from the whole process. Agriculture is the backbone of many countries, especially in Africa. In the period 2011-2015, Agriculture contributed an average of 30.0 percent to the Kenyan GDP. The percentage has been rising, albeit slowly, showing continued adoption of farming for the commercial purposes.
